What Strings?

Hi All

Sorry if this has been asked before but I have never replaced the strings on a guitar before without the sound being bad.

What strings would you put on my Fender GA43SCE?

Sorry just found this on the Fender site, this web thing is great!

"Fender 60L Phosphor Bronze, p/n 0730060003,
Gauges .012 to .052"

Would D'addrios (spelling?????) be better?

It is a matter of taste. What sounds good to your ear. I don't find a lot of difference between string brands myself but, a lot of people have strong preferences. Bother fender and DAddario seem to be popular choices.

Kush, I'm really concerned that you're using up all the smilies on the internet and there won't be any left for the rest of us.

Just stick with bronze guitar strings. Stay away from phospher bronze guitar strings because they are hard on the frets. GHS guitar strings are excellent.

I've said it before but here's my two cents worth.

I've tried ernie ball's and d'addarios and a few others, I keep coming back to Martin Marquis' --I just love these strings on my accoustics, I have 5 accoustics including my 12 string. Scott

I have to second that call! On the acoustic, that's what I've used for a long time. Tried others and came back.

Just replaced strings on my new guitar(STAGG) with D'addario phosphor bronze ..Custom Light.. It sounds so horrible @#@#$& .Think its something to do with the tension ..The original strings on the guitar were a bit rusty...and I don't know what they were ...

Uh Oh. Most likely you have replace higher tention strings with lighter ones and that has messed up your set up. Go up to mediums or adjust the neck action if you want to stay with custom lights.

Where'd you hear that? Stainless steel are hard on frets, but phosphor bronze? Not likely.

.
don't understand why coz "custom light" E string has 8.89 kg tension whilst "Extra light " E has a tension of 7.35 kg.so should I use "Extra light".btw I think that the custom light tends to bend the neck . wonder what did krissovo use then ?
