A real treasure.

I had a thread here once talking about a friend of mine who grew up and jammed with Jeff Healy. Jeff has just given him his double neck axe that he used on Angel Eyes and While My Guitar Gently Weeps. Hows that for a piece of musical history. It looks a lot like this one only in black. Cool or what. It's the one seen near the end of this vid

That has been floating around the web for sometime now. It was posted here a while back.
You should really post this in your own thread in the music lounge, not The Gear Forum in someone else's' thread on an unrelated subject..

Once again AT, I have to say that your friend is one lucky dude.
Double necks aren't cheap at any rate, let alone someone famous like Jeff Healey being a previous owner.

Rob and Jeff grew up together and gigged together for a while. They have been close friends for decades. Not much luck involved. He wanted his axe to have a good home and knew rob would give it one. I will probably get to noodle on it this summer sometime.

Now that's a beautiful Jackson... or perhaps a Charvel? Looks like it says Jackson in the vid though. Beautiful all the same, and lovely sounding! What a gift.

Yup. It's a Jackson. The case for that must be the size of a small pool table.

Your friend is quite lucky on both counts. That's a very cool guitar!
