Ripped off gear, please read!

Guys and gals--

A bass playing friend of mine, Tracy Hardy Johnson, just had a bunch of gear ripped off and she'd like to get it back! If you think about it, keep an eye out for this stuff on local Craig's list and ebay.

Sista Groove's Equipment List

If you're interested, here's the thread begun at activebass.com. Chime in and tell her that you can support her.

Ma Geezer's Gear Got Ripped Off!

Steve

P.S. Ma Geezer and Sista Groove are a couple of her nicknames

Hope she gets it back- I would be ridiculously mad if any of my equipment was stolen.

Ouch. That's like having members of your family kidnapped.

Not to sound like a jerk... But am I the only one wondering why she would have such expensive stuff in her van instead of in her house?

That reasoning would work... if she had an exact time for being ripped off... The flier says on or around, which means she had it in her van for days....

I mean, that still isn't an excuse for someone to steal it and I do hope she gets her gear back. But c'mon, leaving it outside in a van when your house is like 20 feet away... Not the brightest idea ever. Her amp head alone is worth $1000 brand new.

Wow that is a bummer. Mu biggest nightmare is for some lowlife to steal my gear. Sorry to read about it.

Well the deal is that Tracy plays in two bands, so between practicing, recording, gigs and work she's a pretty busy lady. You're right, the house would be safer. But this is in Bemidji, MN. I don't know if any of you have been to Bemidji, but there ain't exactly alot of crime going on in northern MN. No doubt she was cased for some time and just happened to make the mistake of leaving the stuff in her van.

I imagine that has got to be one of the worst things to happen when someone has there hard acquired gear ripped off.

If there is such a thing as Karma, then I hope the thieves get it ten-fold!
