The BOSS TU-80 is a Chromatic tuner with a built in metronome that is quite reliable and won't cost you the earth to buy.

Go here to check it out: http://www.music123.com/Boss-TU-80-i126185.music

I have one myself that I use mainly for the metronome and I've never encountered any problems.

Sorry, can't offer any comments on that particular one since I'm not familiar with it.

Unfortunately, there is no way that I'm aware of that the metronome sound can be turned up. When I use it, I usually have the volume down low enough on my guitar so that I can hear it. That's probably the only disadvantage with it.

Using it in a band situation and it's likely that you wouldn't be able to hear the metronome at all.
