Metallica Distortion

I have an AX1500G effects pedal, plugged into a guyatone amp, I'm wondering if you guys could help me find the Metallica type distortion on the Master of Puppets album.

Thanks

Ive got a 1500g as well, and a Marshall MG100 DFX.

The 1500g has a "metallica" pre-set, bank 0, effect 1, i think, its called "one". But id rather play with the tones from the marshall than the multi fx...

I play it clean with a bit of chorus, Max the gain on the OD chanel,
Bass 5
Mid 3
Treb 7
Contour 7

But that probably doesnt help you much

Ummm, the gain would be the distortion... He said max gain, which means full distortion... The more gain you use, the dirtier the sound gets.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
