I just read through 1/2 dozen customer reviews. Non mentioned a dull string problem. One guy did comment that his axe sound much more fully acoustic after he pulled out the fishman and put in a Western pick up. Have a teck or a good player try it out and get a second opinion.

Ok,
Dont use it amplified, dull, like an old string when its lost its ring or when dampened, not that bad but just dont ring out as much.

My Strat has a dull 3rd string and no one has ever been able to figure out why. Being electric, it's not that big a deal, but it is odd.

get new saddles in it, there could be a dead spot in the plasitic on the saddle

but take it to a guitar tech before you change/alter anything...

Yes, definitely get it to a tech. I've had a "dull" string be the result of a shim under the saddle on more than one occasion. I've also had a lousy sounding guitar become great by the simple addition of a couple of drops of superglue into the saddle pocket in the bridge. In that instance, the saddle was not making good contact in a few places.

You may even want to consider a change to a tusq or bone saddle.
