I play my guitar every day. Is it okay to leave it on the stand for months on end or should I really be putting it in it's case every night. I am mindful of humidity (live in Oregon, it rains a bit) but I'm not anal about it. I like to have it easily accessible so I can practice when I have a few spare minutes. On the other hand I want my guitar (a Breedlove nylon acoustic) to grow old with me. What do you do?

I don't think leaving it on the stand is much of a problem leaving it on a stand, just be mindful of what else is in the room. Heaters, air conditioners, direct sunlight can affect guitars if they are constantly exposed to them.

I leave all mine on a rack. And havent had a problem so far...
As scotty said, just be careful of other hazards. family pets, kids etc knocking them over etc, as well as heaters etc

I have stands for my guitars but I only use them when I have the guitars out for playing. When they're not being played they go back home in their cases!

Mine stay out as well. I would say it is fairly humid here too.
I just make sure no one can walk by and knock it over...
I tend to play a lot more if I don't have to go get one out of a case!

If everything has a point, well then I must have one, too.

My acoustic stays in the case when it's not in my hands- more because of kids and pets running around than anything else. The electric, which I'm not as particular about, gets propped in a corner out of the way most of the time.

Mine are in and out of their cases all week between going to teaching, rehearsals and gigs. I swap them in and out as I need them.

I have most of mine out on wall hangers in my studio. I have a humidifier in the room and I keep it between 40 and 50%. So far no harm except dust. Many have been out for more than 8 years now.
