  Which new Maton acoustic?

Desperately seeking some advice.
For those of you familiar with Maton guitars -
I am purchasing my first decent acoustic guitar shortly and have narrowed it down to a Maton.
Now the question is which model?
I know how subjective the whole choice of guitars are but any feedback would be gratefully received.

I am looking at buying either an EM325C or a custom shop EM225C.

They both have the same AP5 electronics. The custom EM225C is a little prettier with herringbone detail but I'm not fussed about that. Not sure of the difference in tuners.

My difficulty is that I am having trouble hearing the difference in tone between them but have been told different things by different people -
The 325 is not as loud unplugged as the 225, even a little muffled;
325 sounds better amped than the 225;
225 has a better tone than the 325;
But then I hear that the 325 is a better grade of wood so it should sound better over the years.
And so on.

I know it depends on what I play and how I intend to use it (which I am not exactly sure of yet), but any thoughts or experience would be most welcome!

Thanks

Jeremy

I don't know anything about these guitars but here is some advice that works with any guitar purchase. Get a friend who is a good player and plays a similiar style to your own. Then have an 'A-B' test. Sit in a quiet room with the guitars and play the exact same songs, scales, riffs on the two guitars. Have your friend play and you listen. They you play and listen.

This should help you pick out the guitar you want.
