Lovepedal Eternity Overdrive

I've used an Eternity for about 1 year now, so the honeymoon phase is over, and I have had plenty of experience with it live and in the studio.
The Eternity is a jewel of an overdrive, an all-time favorite.
Its extremely versatile, not just a one-trick pony.
The unit comes with interchangeable IC's which allow one to experiment to see what they like the best. The stock chip, often referred to as the "fat chip," is high gain with some midrange presence. The TLO-82 has less hair, but works very well for boost functions. The JRC-4558 is also rather hot, but more open sounding with a clear high end. Very interesting, indeed.

Some sample settings:

transparent boost: volume full up/treble off/gain off
treble booster: volume full up/treble @ 10 o'clock/gain off
overdrive: volume @ 4 o'clock/treble to taste/gain at 9 o'clock
distortion: volume @ 2 o'clock/treble @ 11 o'clock/gain @ 11 o'clock

All these settings are very cool.
The distortion setting is a fave with a Tele, where I keep the guitar volume at about halfway up for rhythm, then roll up for leads. Very intense!!!

You can hear it at www.soundclick.com/randotones

Sean came up with a winner with the Eternity.
His customer service is excellent, and he will work with you to ensure that you are happy with the product.
Check 'em out!!!

The Pedal sounds great. I want something versatile for getting a good slide sound - clean or dirt and this would seem to do it. Price is up there and seems to have gone up compared to Harmony Central reviews. Any reason for this?

There's been a lot of interest in the Eternity.
Its considered by a lot of people to be among the best ever, along with the Klon, Landgraff, Clay Jones, and maybe a couple of others.
I saw one sell on Ebay for $442.52 just the other day.
You might be able to snag one on thegearpage.net for less, however.
