How To Get This Sound ....

Hey folks,

You all know I'm trying to emulate the sounds and tones of George Harrison, particularly with his slide work.

Here's a GH 15 second sample tone ....

Obviously a wah is being used here. So, I'll be purchasing a wah in the next day or two. But whats really got me working overtime is the "tone" that he creates. I'm using a Line6 Pod2 as my amp modeler. I just can't seem to dial it in to get that slide tone. Of course I'm doing this on a Strat as GH did much of his slide work on a Strat.

Can any of you guys listen to the sample and try and determine what might be used to get that tone? Or if you're using an amp modeler, if you can try and get that tone slide from yours. Any help is certainly appreciated!

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
