Buying a new guitar

I have my sights set on the Schecter Daimen FR as a new beast to play, i only have my brother old guitar which doesn't stay tuned very long so it's time i evolve.

I like listening to alsorts but mainly listen to metal but still would like to play some mellow cords. From what i've read the Daimen FR's is really good to play & a bargin for the price, as my price range is very limited

I would like to play the guitar before i buy but it's more of a American guitar & not many in England but i'll check out the shops see if they have one i can try out.

Here she is:

CONSTRUCTION/SCALE: Bolt-on / 25.5”
BODY: Basswood
NECK/FINGERBOARD: Maple/Rosewood
FRETS: 24 X-Jumbo
INLAYS: Black Pearl ‘Bats’
PICKUPS: EMGhz FH4/H4 set
ELECTRONICS: Vol/Tone/3-Way
BRIDGE: Floyd Rose Licensed Tremolo
BINDING: None
TUNERS: Grover
HARDWARE: Black
COLOR: Satin Black (SBK)

Could somone please tell me about this info honestly & describe it basicly because i'm rather simple

hmm won't let me post the link to my picture came up with this error:

"You are only allowed to post URLs to other sites after you have made 10 posts or more."

kind of sucks

There are two reviews at Harmony-Central... http://reviews.harmony-central.com/r...mien%20FR/10/1

And http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/revie...cter/damien_6/

Based on what I read I would suggest that you factor the price of a setup when you buy the guitar.

Can you play one before you buy it or is this buy it from the net/catalog? There is nothing better than playing a guitar before you buy it.

Also check out the article on my website on buying a guitar at http://www.jcdisciples.org/guitar/howtobuy.html

That rule is to protect our members from spammers who want to sell us cell phones, junk bonds etc. It also allows the mods to access how well a new member is going to fit in here, their ability to follow the rules and their intentions. All the rules here have been very carefully thought out to give our members the best forum experience possible.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
