  P80 or RP80

If you mean the RP-80, I have a friend that has one. He likes it. As with any of the pedals like that, you would have to pick a sound or tone you like and then tweek it a bit, save it to memory under the user presets.

Another friend got the RP-300. He likes it a lot since it has the learn-a-lick feature on it. You can capture phrases from a CD or another source , slow it down to learn it easier. The 300 has a couple of other features the 80 doesn't have, but right off the top of my head I can't remember what. It does have quite a few more presets to work with, too.

Overall sound is good for going direct to recording. Going direct to the Sound system is pretty good too. But the tones don't quite respond like the real amps that are being modelled. But a good starting point for the money involved.

Just my (and their)opinion(s)....ymmv

I have an RP-300A and it's a lot of fun. But, I view it as a means to get multiple effects for experimentation. Ultimately I would like a pedal for each function. The multi-Fx is a confusing array of functions that seems to require endless tinkering.

One problem is that the settings are buried in multiple layers of buttons presses, and switching individual Fx's on and off is cumbersome. It is good value, and if you want to explore your sounds you will get your money's worth.
