Wah-wah pedal
I'm thinking of getting a wah-wah pedal for my guitar, and I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions for a relatively inexpensive, but quality pedal I could get.
What sort of things should I be looking for in an item such as this?
Thanks

As for Wah-Wah's, you want somethign that will provide a Solid Tone, That is built rugged, and works reliably.
The Dunlop Crybaby Wah tends to be the most used as far as Wah's Go.
Dunlop Crybaby: Amazon
Guitar: 1) Behringer Stratocaster; Webstrings Memphis Electric Xlight strings; Dunlop Picks
2) Ibanez TCY-10 Talman Series; Elixir Light strings.

i mean it cost me around 100 dollars but i love my Vox "Clyde McCoy" wah pedal. its very high quality and i noticed that some of the dunlop cry babys i tried out would sometimes play the radio through the amp...it was kind of weird.

IMO a Morley Wah is the best. The contour of the footbed with the range of motion makes it easy to control the sound. Its modestly priced for what it is. The electronics are solid. if you can, get a Morley.

Morley are pretty much like Cry baby's. I believe they looked the same but with the name Morley on it, is that right? And Wah wah's are up in price a used one I seen was like $75. go with wah wah, But these day's they have those big old foot pedals that do it all. And all in one kind of deal. Effects pedal station.

Thanks for the assist with the address response Clancy, (I've been working OT the past few days). Those multifaceted effects boards are wonderful. However, for a single wah. I still think using the foot to control sound is better if the range of motion is larger. Let us know what you pick.

At least IMO it is better to buy one effect at a time and see how it works in your effects chain. Most, not all, MultiFX boards do lots of things but not anyone of them better than a FX pedal that was designed for one purpose only. I use to own a MultiFX board and it was a fun 'toy' but I eventually sold it.
I have a friend who plays with his very expensive Multi-FX system (rack mounted, MIDI controlled thing) more than he does with his guitar to get the 'right tone'. Tried to tell him "play the guitar more - the tone will come'....

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
