My guitar ?

I have always loved the sound of guitar's. Not knowing anything much about guitars, I went shopping. Since I couldn't play a guitar I just went by feel and the sound. I was about to buy a Fendor Autitorium guitar and I met up with a customer at the store. He suggested the Taylor "Big Baby" guitar. It was a little smaller than the fendor but the customer thought the Taylor was better quality. I can pick melodies out with the guitar and it is fine. I am having trouble trying to play chords with this guitar. My fingers are quite stubby. Do you think the fret board is too small? Is this a OK guitar?

I have a Fender Grand Auditorium and I love it, the reveiws are similar to the Taylor so either way you will get a great guitar to learn with. Incidently I have stubby fingers as well, seriously stubby and I am fine.

Good choice - great sound, comfortable to play (the back bows out a little). Make sure you have it set up by a qualified guitar tech. Fretboard size is just perfect.

I have small hands myself but I'm most comfortable with a guitar that has a 1 3/4" neck.
Give it some time before you make up your mind. Play a while on your guitar until you get comfortable, then play some others in the stores. Your fingers will tell you where they wanna be walkin'!
