What do you think of this American Strat?

I'm looking for an electric, and if I could get this for under $500, is it a good deal?
I've been playing for a few months on an acoustic. I got the serial # from the seller, and it checks out as a 2001-02 American Strat. Looks like a nice guitar. Don't anybody poach it !!!

There are a couple of MIA strats on ebay right now around that price range. The extra set of pups and the T. specials are a bonus. All in all it sounds like a good buy. I am wondering how high the bidding will go though.

Yeah, I'm curious as well. I asked the seller for better pics of the front and back of the neck. It'll most likely get over my price range. I'm looking for a decent electric under $500, new or used. I don't need a showpiece, just a quality guitar that is easy to play not heavy, and not junk.

I was browsing "craigslist" today and found several different strats for sale in my local area for reasonable prices--some of the people were throwing in practice amps and gig bags ect with them. Try checking it out, I'd bet there are hundreds in the So cal area.

Thanks, never thought of that. Found a black and rosewood 96 MIM, HSS model (humbucker at bridge) that was in great shape for just over 200. No scratches or dings. Gave me a crappy RMS-40B amp with it, sounds like crap. Amp is going in the trash unless anyone wants it. Plugged it into my son's small crate amp, and it sounds much better. I'm happy now.

Anyone have an opinion on a Fender M-80 amp for $75? Too much for in-house practice? Cheaper than buying a small 15w Crate practice amp.

There are 5 M 80s listed from rack mounted to chorus. Which one are you looking at. Probably the combo or the chorus, The price seems way too low though. They are selling from 120 t0 300 depending on which M80 it is.

Looks like the Combo. Description says Dual channel Fender guitar amp with 1 12" speaker, reverb, and footswitch. Has 2 imputs, 4 dials for clean channel, and 4 for overdrive channel. Picture just shows M-80. probably 10-15 years old. Fro the price, sounds like a decent amp.

Is this too much for a bedroom practice amp?
Like I said, cheaper than buying new smaller amp.

Thanks for all the assistance.

Thanks, most of the reviewers think it was decent, but some expected more out of it. I'm just looking for something decent under $100, and this seems like a good deal. Don't need any special effects with the distortion channel.

Any recommendations?

It's a good deal at 75 bucks. You can fill in the sound with pedals if needed.
