Vox AD30 Valvetronic Info

G'day

Ive heard a few demos on this amp and to my ears they sound good and at 400 bills AU im wondering this thing could save lugging a very heavy old fender showman around.
Also a Peavey Classic is all tube for 900 so im not sure what the best option at the moment is.
Any advice or review would be appreciated.

Cheers
Angelo.

Hey whats up. Ahhh yes the Vox AC30. British made used by alot of great bands. The Vox AC30 plays a HUGE impact on a guitarist named The Edge from a band called U2. Of course The Edge used many other tools and tricks of his own, Vox helped produce a sound you can reconize anywhere. Beware Vox AC30 is a heafty investment, but one well worth it! However to gig with a vox is a privledge, but a heavy one. Its not always as easy to carry around the AC30, but if you have stage crew or your just plain strong, its a great amp to gig with. If you ever find yourself looking for a vox to actauly buy, try and see if you can find a vintage model from the 80's, it will be used but you may find you like this better then the newer ones. However the risk of repair costs is much greater with vintage.

From the few reviews I read, it is considered a great practice amp. There seems to be some question about it's gig worthiness though. There are pages of reviews on it so I am sure you will get all the answers you need if you wade through them.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
