Slowing Down Music

Does anyone recommend any gear to slow down music? I know that Tascam has a Guitar Trainer that will slow down music on a CD without changing pitch. Line 6 also makes the Guitar Port that will allow you to slow down music to half speed, but is all software based. Any help would be great.

Thanks!

Hi Buddy

I hope everythings great there
Sorry if this suggestion does'nt help you, just my opinion and this is what I use :
The "Change-tempo" option on the Audacity is perfect while slowing down the tempo and without changing the Pitch. I use it occasionally to understand the complicated parts. I hope this helped a little

Lots of regards and Care

You can use Windows media player to do this with MP3 or WMA files. not sure how it effects that pitch though. Can slow it down to whatever speed you want. I've used it to play along with a green day backing track. got ot view in the tope menu and hover over enhancements and play speed is there.

Hello - I use a plug-in for WinAmp that allows you to slow down the music and it doesn't change the pitch. It also allows you to change the pitch if you want. I find it works very well.

The plug-in is called "Slow down" and is available at the Win Amp site.
