Telecaster neck straightness

Hi, Im new to this having purchased an as new mint Telecaster standard MIM recently, or should I say my wife got me it for my Birthday. Anyway didnt notice when I first got it that the neck has a vert slight bend away from the strings in the middle if that makes sence ie the gap from strings to the frets in the middle of the neck is larger than at the ends. This is only very slight but I was wondering if this is normal ?

a slight bow is normal, but you may need to have the truss rod adjusted. The truss rod can reduce the bow, but it is wise to take it to someone who knows what they are doing. It's easy, but also easy to screw up.
