Acoustic or Electric

I've got 2 acoustics and 2 electrics. I thought that I'd be playin my Les Paul all the time, but I play my Woods most... So which do you all spend the most time playing, acoustic or electric?

Hi Buchanan, I play mostly Acoustic, I have an Electro - Acoustic that I play and I do have a pretty cheap electric that I mess around on but most of the time I play my Yamaha steel string or my Classical which I use for learning scales, I'm learning Balalaika but that's a different story not really a guitar

It seems like for the music I'm playing I would want my LP, but an acoustic just has that sound, ya know?

O BTW, What's a balalaika?

I play my electrics a lot more than my acoustics. Spend most of my time on my #1 and #2 Teles (a "partscaster" and a Hwy1).

I have acoustic, A/E, and electric. But keep grabbing the sweet little Martin 000 first.

I have all acoustic guitars with the exception of my Parker which is an acoustic/electric but definitely looks like an electric guitar. I play the Parker as often as my other guitars, but I use the acoustic setting at times, so I voted acoustic.

Hi, Buchanan, It's a stringed instrument popular in Eastern Europe, mine is an Alto and has 3 strings, haven't quite got the hang of it yet but it's fun trying, just thought I'd try something different, here's a post with a picture

Something new for me a Balalaika

I'm on my Variax 700 95% of the time any more. Overall i'm on the electric settings about 75% of the time except here lately. Been using a slide on one of the dobro settings.

Oh, I've seen one of those before in the music studio outside of town. Do they sound like other wooden stringed instruments?

Hi Buchanan

Yes they have quite a cool sound when played by a skilled musician, so mine doesn't sound as good, the technique takes a bit of time to master, you also play them a bit further up the neck not over the sound hole as the body is more fragile than a guitar, they're a very light instrument and the sound is a lot sharper than a guitar it's closer to a Mandolin.
Here's a master playing one

Acoustic mostly. I have 2 acoustic electrics, one Takamine( my favorite) and a Fender. I usually only play plugged in if I'm jamming with friends that play electrics.

I have always been a player of acoustic instruments. I play everyday and most always grab the Guild because it is so cool to play it. But I have my Lyle Humingbird playing just about as well and play it too. Hardly ever play my hollow body electric.
