battery holder.

I got a new guitar for christmas A Yamaha FGX750SCA cutaway. My daughter was playing it and somehow managed to lose the 9v pop out battery holder. I,ve tried my local guitar shop and they don't have such a monster. anyone got any ideas where i would find such an item. Thanks.

You might try your local Radio Shack. If you arent successful there you can try the Yamaha Service Center. Since the guitar is new, is the part number in your manual? If it is you are in luck. The reason I say this is I ordered some parts for an old Yamaha Electric and after one hour of frustration I finally got the order in but I was sent the wrong screws and the rest of the stuff has to come from Japan (4 to 6 weeks). The problem is that they service all the stuff in Yamaha Music so you cant expect the order taker to know every instrument. If you have a part number then piece of cake. Anyway, I got the toll free number after I talked to them for an hour and burned my minutes. The toll free number is 888-892-6242. They are on California time and close at 5Pm Mon - Fri. You will need the model number of the guitar and have a credit card ready. Hope this helps.

Thanks Cush. I think I,ve located it on the net. It's a GN2935EL09V battery compartment..., looks like i'll have to purchase the whole mompartment and use the holder part. 15 bucks, so I hope its the right one. Thanks for your help.

Naw..., she only lost the wee pop-out plastic battery holding part, but I will just buy the whole unit and use the part I need. It's my fault cos I left it loose as soneone told me that snapping it shut can use up the 9v battery.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
