Bigsby = phail!
Taking the Bigsby off my Tele. I bought B5 kit for the Tele but the bridge is junk. I could invest more money and risk getting a roller bridge that doesn't fit right, but I decided to go back to a fixed bridge and string thru. Picked up a bridge from GuitarFetish cause I used my other one to convert my Affinity Tele to string thru.
Anyway that's my Bigsby experience. The trem itself is a nice piece of gear. Can't decide whether to throw the kit up on Craigslist or stick on the shelf. If I ever pick up a cheap Les Paul it might be nice to put the Bigsby on it as it wouldn't use the junky bridge that came in the B5 kit.

Sorry to hear it didn't work out, Fly. Tele's don't need no Bigsbys anyways!

Sell, Sell, Sell!!!!
My opinion is that they are a pain in the backside, get rid of the thing!
They do look drop dead sexy but dont put one on a LP.

Put the bridge on last night. The guitar looks like H E Double Hockey Sticks but it plays like a dream. This is the bridge I got...
Wilkinson Compensated Telecaster Bridge- Gold with Brass Saddles
I got it from their eBay store a little cheaper than buying off the site. I didn't realize it was gold until after I bought it. I would have gotten chrome. But now that Tele's got holes in it, I think the gold just adds to the "lived in" look. I think it sounds better than did when it had the original fender bridge. But that might be other factors like having had the Bigsby on it.
Don't worry Krissovo, if I put it on a tele, it's going to be a $100 beater off Craigslist. No way would I ever put it on a good guitar again.

So you're against trem's in general?
Don't sell it, thats a move you may regret later...

No, I like the trem on my strat. It's just that the bridge on this one screwed up the Tele. It's off and sitting on my shelf for now.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
