Micro BR Cheat Sheet

I just purchased a Boss Micro BR digital recorder. It's an AWESOME tool - many decent effects, a lot of flexibility in generating drum rythms (VERY hard to find this much flexibility), 4 recording tracks each having 8 virtual tracks, full edit and mix capabilities, a pretty decent on-board microphone etc etc etc.

The problem is that it's NOT intuitive, and the manual is NOT a warm and cozy place to be!!!

As I learn how to use the tool, I'm creating a 'cheat sheet' that will hopefully translate the manual into a user-friendly format. I'm building it in Microsoft Excel.

If there is any interest, I'll try to discover a way to post my cheat sheet and share with others. Feel free to reply to this post and let me know if you're interested, and possibly provide 'hints' about posting it when there is enough meat.

Sounds like a great idea, I would use it if you produce one. All I use mine for is to record the band I play with using a mic plugged in.

I dont have the time to spend hours learning the unit

I'd like to see the cheat sheet too. I've had mine for close to a year and don't use it that often, so every time I turn it on is almost like the first time all over again. While it's a very powerful and capable little unit, you're right that it's not very intuitive, nor is the manual well-organized.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
