Getting a Vox 30W Valvetronix

After much research on various forums and web sites

and constantly changing my mind every few hours

I've finally bit the bullet and put a deposit on a

Vox AD30VT Valvetronix.

It was a close battle with the Roland Cube 30x

but the Vox won on price, being $70 cheaper and the Vox footpedal

was thrown in with the deal for $10.

Close contenders was the Roland microcube, and the Cube 20x.

I was considering the Line 6 spider III, but too many bad reports

on its ability to produce a good tone left it out of the race.

With the Amps out of the way, will now work on getting a guitar

currently Washburn Idol 14 is still top of the list, but I've just seen

an Black ibanez looking Cort with a rotary push/pull switch for one or

two of the pickups, trying to find out the model, will need to find

out more about it, if any body knows the model please let me know.

Thanks

Nice buy on the Valvetronix. I have one and am quite happy with it. I revamped mine to use a Hellatone 12" speaker. Made quite a difference in a very clean bottom end and less shrill high end. I added an fx loop also.
As for the Cort guitar; I think you're looking for the Cort X-6. It seems to get favourable reviews.
happy hunting

Your right, The Cort must be the X6 its the only Cort I can find

with all the tuning nuts on the one side of the headstock and

with the push/pull pickup selector knob.

Pretty good reviews on the guitar, the Floyd Rose system sounds

awkward for a beginner in stringing the guitar and tuning, though

its a popular setup on the more expensive guitars.

Compared to the budget version of the Washburn Idol, the X6 might

be a better guitar in features and quality.
