How to store the guitars

Hello,

I see some people have their guitars in racks, others have them hanging from the wall with that double hook.

I have one of them (Variax) in the padded Gig Bag, but now I need something for the Tanglewood. So, is a gig bag a good idea, or better hang it in the wall, where it could be a bit safer?

I think the Variax could be too heavy for a hook?

For me in the case when I ain't playing it. But I'd love to have them on the wall. For me its climate reasons and humidity.

Same here! I keep mine in cases when I'm not playing.

I have 2 acoustics and a Strat. All stay in HSC if not being used. And I use Hercules stands when they're out.

I have my two electric's hanging on the wall (my grandson thinks that it looks cool) and my acoustic on a stand.

Mine are all on racks, with a couple of floor stands near the amps for whichever ones I'm currently playing most.

My situation exactly. I think if they were in cases I'd never play them. (Although that's the best way to keep them.)

Hard case seems to be considered the best way, then, with racks. I see almost no one uses the padded gigbag as I do (the only thing I have at the moment).

I'll think about hanging them from the wall... at least one. Problem is, the one I hang in the wall will be the most played, probably.

The Variax is quite heavy, 7.8 lbs (3.54 kg). Not sure about hanging this one. Anyone has his Variax or Gibson originals, older models (the newer ones are lighter, I read), hung up?

The Tanglewood TSE505 is heavy too... not as heavy as a Gibson, I believe.

If you look in music shops, all their guitars are hung, causing no damage. Your 7/8lb guitars are actually lighter than some Gibson and Epiphone LP's, which can be about 10 lbs.

Hey WitchyWoman, Is the guitar on the left a Stella? A friend of mine has one that looks alot like that. Those are really good looking guitars. I like the middle one also. Sweet.

Since that picture was taken we have added two more to the collection though, just haven't got round to taking a picture of them all together yet!
Well, get on it, womannnnnnnnnnnnnnn..or we'll have to show up on your doorstep one day, just to see them up close...LOL
