Live acoustic compressor

I'm trying to find out if there is a certin type of compressor for acoustic guitars for live sound? I guess what I'm asking is can I use a stomp box comp for an acoustic same as an electric or do I need to go to a rack mount or is there a difference. I recently added new pups (Dean Markley La Jolla sound hole and piezo) in my acoustic that come out in stereo. I'm running that into an LR Baggs MixPro/tuner/ART Tube pre/Dan Electro Chorus/ to snake. Then I'd like to add a comp. Also does it really matter where I put my tuner in the chain? It has a mute.
Thanks Guys and Gals

I have my tuner first in the chain and my compressor immediately after that, before any other effects. I'm sure that's not the only way it can be done, but having it first makes sense to me - I want it to be hearing nothing but the true sound of the strings, no effects in-between to possibly muck up the tuning.

I can't suggest a compressor for acoustic - I use an MXR Dynacomp for electric guitar, but have never tried plugging my acoustic/electric into it to see how it sounds. Hopefully some of the guys who play live/amplified acoustics will have some suggestions.

that was my thoughts also on the tuner. But I always like to get other peoples opinions on things just for reassurance. Still waiting on comments about compressors.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
