a Gibson question

are all Gibson guitars made in the USA and use American technologies and parts(humbuckers, electronics,...)? because i just bought a Gibson Les Paul Vintage Mahogany Electric Guitar for $800 (include hardshell case, $630 for just the guitar alone) and i know that it's made in USA but for the price im thinking they use non-american parts.

before buying it, i asked the sales man at the store and he said it's all american but he sounds like he wasnt very confident about it. so i had to hear it from someone else.

Please anyone prove me wrong!!!

When i play it, it feels like 100% USA to me (very well crafted, sounds amazing compare to the other non-american made guitars like epiphones, ibanez,... i have played)

If you are in doubt about it. Go to the Gibson site. I just read an article about their guitars and also about counterfits. Not that yours would be that, but I think they have a FAQ area and a support area where you can ask questions.

I was under the impression that some of the Studio models were either made overseas or at least had parts that were made there, then assembled here....but I've been wrong before!

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
