It's a case of "different strokes for different folks" here kuance.
I personally like and play a Fender Strat and I also have an Ibanez too. Someone else may prefer the Ibanez over a Fender Strat etc, etc.

Best way is to get yourself down to your local guitar shop and test them out for yourself to see what brand YOU like.

None are the best. I have many electric guitars - Les Paul Custom, Strat, Tele, ES335, SG, Variax..., but my favorite - head and shoulders above the rest - is my Tom Anderson Hollow DropTop. It's somewhat like a strat, but better.

I spent about 3 hours yesterday on a buddies MIM strat and i'm thinking it will probably be my next purchase (not his, but one like it). Plays pretty nice and has the difference in tone i'm looking for. Still like my Dean better. It depends alot on the style music you want to play and how the guitar is setup. You really have to go out and try them for yourself. If you pick up a guitar with humbuckers it's going to be different then a guitar with single coils. Not to say one is better then the other, but "different". Don't limit yourself to specific brands. Try everything you can get your hands on. What you end up liking may surprise you.

The follow post is opinion only and should not be taken as fact:

I've only played a couple Ibanez guitars and don't actually own one but prefer the Fender guitars. It has nothing to do with quality but the Fenders tend to weigh less, have slimmer necks and tend to be more versitile quality wise. However, the Ibanez guitars I've tried tend to weigh more and have fatter necks(which some people like the feel of). Alot of them do have locking trem systems though, which most of your Strats do not. Ibanez guitars also have jumbo frets, for a faster. This is of course assuming you're getting a solid body. Ibanez also makes hollowbodies as well.

Hope that helps. Not sure exactly what you need, but hopefully you'll be able to weigh those. Hop on harmony central and check out some reviews.

We're not gonna listen to you, because we are open minded.

kuance, accept the fact that you will never be satisfied until you've tried them all or a least a wide variety of guitars yourself. Fortunately electrics are a little easier than acoustics to get a good play'n one. I have a cheap squire that plays as nicely as my more expensive guitars.

kuance, I would suggest you go try as many as you can. Fender Strats, for example use various pickups which will give you a different sound. All single coils are not the same in them, various wrappings, and magnets will alter the sound. But don't get hung up on specs and techie stuff. Play them through a good amp on the clean channel making changes on the guitat with the pickup selector and tone control. Get one that sounds good to YOU, and feels right. Good luck shopping.

Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out.

Kuance - the first question would be, what kind of music do you plan to play? Who are your favorite bands that you would like to learn their music? Different types of guitars have different pickups and equipment, and will give accordingly different sounds. It's hard to make a recommendation without knowing what kind of music you'll be playing.

What style are you going to play? I can list the series made by those companies best for your style. I personally like Ibanez's RG and S series.

Wow....thanks for all the opinion. ok,well most of you ask me for my playing style...ok! i can stat it clearly that i play rythme rock like Neil zaza u know??? neil zaza's I'm alright. oh ya, Canon rock from Jerry C.hmmm, other than tat,i would like to learn song like Sweeping in heaven, Rock On, Alien walker...etc.

Make it clear, i play song like "Jerry C" play. If you dont really know who he is try search it on youtube and type in "Jerry C".He plays a lot of nice song even without the backing track you can make it sound just as cool as those solos out there.

To update you ppl on my research, Now i will either getting a Fender Squire or Ibanez. the ibanez i am going to get is almost the same price with the Fender Squire. Any new comment?

That's shredder stuff. You'd probably like something like an Ibanez better for that kind of music. Pointy guitars with skinny necks, humbucker pickups and whammy bars are what you see most of those kind of guitarists playing. Out of my league since I don't play that kind of stuff, so I can't offer any more advice than that - the only Ibanez guitars I've ever played were a bandmate's late 70's/early 80's "Iceman" (many years ago) and an acoustic.

I personally prefer to play the Fender Strat but only because between that and the Ibanez, the Strat is a better quality and playable guitar.

Ibanez is probably your best bet then for that style. your best series are: RG, S, SZ, SA, AX.

RG's are alot heavier than S, SZ, SA and probably AX. But if you really want that heavy, deep, sound, go for the RG.
