Hi there joemerc! I bought Zager's ZAD-80 a few years back and thought it was a nice guitar. He is a great guy to do business with. The only problem I have, is that I bought a dreadnaut and I am more comfortable with grand auditorium body style.

The tone of the guitar is slightly brighter than I remembered most Martin guitars. Best part about this is that you can return it with no questions asked and they are a family run business and take their customer service seriously.

Hope it all works out for you!

I looked at Denny's site a few months ago, the Guitars have quite a low action so are good for people starting out, I think they're all Martin Guitars so would have thought they're worth the extra money, Pamelody could tell you more about the action, I don't think he has any outlets so we can't get them in the U.K. which is ashame, Denny Zager is quite an impressive guy.

Joe,

I have a ZAD80 CE, No complaints here, it lived up to all he advertised it to be. Easy on the fingers, sounds great, although I play my Taylor GS most often only because I got used to the medium string weight and thats where I want to be.

joemerc, yes, the action is lower and easier on the fingers, but as for the advertisement about "no more sore fingers" might be stretching it a bit. I think it comes with the territory. The neck is narrower too and bar chords are easier.

Still attached to my Taylor though, and love it's tone!

Nothing to lose with Zager, as he is so honest and fair to deal with and he gives you a full money back guarantee! Once you have it in your hands though... it takes discipline to return such a well crafted instrument! Good luck!

All I know is that it says there is a chat room on his site, I have in the past tried countless times to get into it, at every time of the day and night and it always says its full, I don't believe there is a chat room, I think its only a trick to get your email address as it is mandatory to enter it to get into the chat room it says.
Has anybody ever been in said chat room?
