this may sound like a naive question but the site is for beginners and beyond lol anyways, my question is Does the age of the guitar inhance the sound or performance in any ways? does it have anything to do with the aging of the wood?

If your guitar has a solid top then the sound will change over time, some people say a period of many years.

solid wood will enhance the "depth" of tone over the years but you have to play it to "open" it up.
in other words a solid top left for years in a closet won't really be much better, if at all.

From everything I have heard and read suggest so. But more so when it is actually played.
