Which would you choose?

Which would you choose between the Agile AL-3000 and the Epiphone les paul custom?

What do you guys think of these two guitars, pros and cons?
I've never even heard of the Agile before, i don't think i can buy one in the UK, but even with postage cost it works out a lot cheaper. Has anyone ever ordered a guitar from the U.S, if so which company did you use and what was the service like?

Cheers.

the positives i've read/heard about the Agiles far outweigh those about the Epi's, especially since they started making them in China.

I'm not saying that all Epi's are bad or that China produces bad instruments, just that i've heard that QC seemed to be slipping a bit.
I'm also not sure if the Custom is made there or not.
Just make sure you check it out first or get it from someone with a good return policy.

I have been jonesing for an Epi BoneYard or an Elitist for quite a while now.

The custom Epi's are made in Korea and the Alpine white LP custom I have was when i bought it a well made guitar with some great tone. The only flaw, flaw is a bit strong i mean slightly odd looking thing was that the nut was not very well finished but set up perfectly. It was ready to play straight out the box and sounded sweet.

I would not buy a guitar over €200 mail order as I need to get a feel for it first before parting with the cash.

As for the other model I have no idea but the Epi looks and plays great and if i had to replace it tomorrow i would have no worries at all getting another one even if i had to pay €100 more.

The Agile guitars get great reviews. Here is a link to the web site. They will ship to europe. They have a great return policy. Check them out.

I read the specs of the Agile on Rondomusic's website. Looks to be the same exact specs you'd find on an Epi (if not better). Especially the set neck and Grover tuners. A lot of times when looking at cheap LP clone it is a bolt on neck and much cheaper tuners. I would have to say go with the Agile and save a few coins.

Not sure where you're buying it from but make sure they have a decent reputation and good return policy.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
