Anybody play a Washburn ?
The friend that is going to teach me and my son guitar may have a Washburn that she has offered to sell me.She doesn't play that one . I don't know what exact model yet . Just wondering if anyone has one and how they like it compared to the other brands-Fender Strats ,Tele's or Gibson L.P.'s .

Depends on the Washburn. Like any other line of guitars. There are a wide ranges of prices and quality.

I just gave one of my brothers an OE-30 I had. Almost immediately afterwards, my other brother bought one, that model has been getting closed out at really cheap prices ($90-$150), and he couldn't pass it up.
It was good. Unlike most of the guitars I have/had, I felt no real need to replace anything. The tuners, pickups, and so on were perfectly decent, which is often not the case with a moderately-priced instrument. If the price is right, and you're not getting a particularly poor specimen, it'll probably be a good guitar for the money.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
Buy it now for only $10 |
