kudos to Boss and the Fuzz FZ-5

I make it a habit NOT to write about effects pedals and gear that I have purchased, but I feel I must share this with anyone who is interested.

If anyone reading this is on the market for a fuzz pedal I highly recommend the Boss FZ-5. What won me over is the fact that I could dial in a fuzz pretty close to the sounds of "Psychotic Reaction" by the Count Five, and "Satisfaction" by the Stones.

There are two other fuzzes you can choose from. I was able to get some nice Black Sabbath, Jimi Hendrix and Black Keys tones out of the two.

And no...I do not work for Boss.

Anyone who wants to talk fuzz pedals and Garage rock... drop me a line!

Just a quick question I like Fuzz and at the moment I use my Hendrix pedal for Fuzz but its not very versatile.

Do you know Wolfmother and Woman???? If so would that pedal create the a simlar tone?

I wonder how it compares to the sounds you can get from their multiFX units like the ME-50. It's a digital pedal with COSM. Seems like $120 it a lot to spend for a single digital modeled effect. People are used to spending that much on analog effects.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
