IS there anything wrong with this?

Hi folks, in the guitar edicate world, is there anything against owning two of the same model guitar? I have one that I really love the sound of and there is another that sounds fantastic also and when I played it, it just grabbed me also; G.A.S at its worse...

Certainly nothing wrong if your a performing musician... they always need backups, and the closer to the original the better.

But... if your just buying it to horde it, then thats rude... you have a great guitar... wouldn't you want someone else to have it as well?

Nothing wrong with it.

This is espcially a good idea if you want to keep one in an alternate tuning or have one set up for slide. You like the sound, you like the feel. Nothing wrong with it at all.

No problem at all in owning or buying another guitar exactly the same as one you already possess.

Guitarists sometimes collect many of the same brand etc guitar. Take for example, Angus Young. Now he could even open up his own Gibson SG shop (he has that many) He's got hundreds of SG's!

+1 to what everybody else said.

If there's one certain guitar you really like, there's nothing at all wrong with having more than one of them....lots of guitarists do. Is it GAS? Sure it is - but who cares???

And ultimately the answer is if you want it, can afford it, and its available... you can have it.

You were asking about etiquette. There probably is no rule governing that.

I know a player who has four Zions. Each set up differently. It is not unusual.
