Stupid Deal of the Day at MF. Squier Standart Strat Limited Edition.....$139 . Should be fun to play around with. We will see how it stacks up. Worst case scenario....I can give it to the kids.

Nice one. Do I see a pearloid plate there. Hey don't you live where they make the strat.

Yep, Corona is home to one of two Fender factorys I believe. Believe it or not I haven't seen it yet. Gonna make a trip soon. I'm building two strats now in my shop and will probably have them set them up once I'm finished. They also have the Fender museum here and hold small concerts, as well as give lessons and so forth. It's pretty cool. This town has really boomed. I still remember it being nothing but dairies and orange groves....I grew up in Huntington Beach, about 40 minutes from here.

Sweet deal Berserker. I like to check out the stupid deal too. A while back I picked up a 100watt Rogue bass amp 1x15 for $110 shipped

Squier has come a long way with their guitars over the past couple of years. If you can look beyond the name on the headstock, they make some good guitars. Quality control can be an issue, but if you get a good one it's a great bargain.

I agree, I'm a big fan now the "S Dof the D" now. I'm hearing from a lil bird that Ipod Nano's will be on the Stupid Deal of the Day on the 15th. Stay tuned.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
