I've only had my classical guitar for 3 1/2 months, so I haven't had to restring it yet but I did buy a new set of strings the other day so I'll be ready.
The guy at the guitar store said both ends of the strings have to be tied, I didn't know that, so today I found on YouTube a method where both end are tied, but I also found another real simple method that seems to easy to be true.
I hope someone who knows checks this YouTube video out and gives your take on it.

That's the way you tie them at the bridge, and it looks as though the way he ties them at the pegs will work too. I've never done it that way, and like he says, I'm just crankin' away getting it tight. I think I'll try his way next time I change the strings out.

I always tie nylon strings at both ends. Still, it takes a week or more for them to want to stay in tune.
