Axe ?? this isn't an axe... it's a piece of art, it's one of the most beautiful things ever made 'Thumbs and worst of all I'm listening to George play as I type !! No sir, calling this an axe is like drawing a moustache on the Mona Lisa !!

Doesn't matter what you call it really. If it's out of your price range for a "piece of art" then it may as well be "an axe" for all the good it will do you.

Axe is just slang for guitar. My 200 buck tele and my 1800 buck strat are both axes. It is not a negative term at all. Jazz guitars are often referred to as jazz boxes, semis and acoustics as gitboxes. All common terms.

You really should be careful when using heavy metal slang on older people. It's even worse for me cause I've really annoyed the hell outta people with it.

Yeah, very nice piece of art there. Too bad it's not within your price range.

A rose by any other name would bleed the fist that grips it too tightly.

I have come to terms with the fact that "piece of artwork" guitar is not meant for me. Too clumsy, love to leave them scattered across the house and encourage the kids to play them.

Saturday night leaned over to adjust my amp and guitar swung forward and plowed the headstock into a painted brick wall. Knocked the G string outta tune, compressed the wood a little on the corner. If that had been a $2000 Paul I would have wet myself. Nope... $500 axes for me from here out... and lots of standard hardware to swap over to the next one I purchase after demolishing the lovely little warrior I currently "Chop" with.

Remember, wherever you go... there you are.
