Buzzing on first fret

Hey everyone. Back again after another hiatus from forums.

Anyways..

I'm getting some serious buzzing on the first fret last two strings. I looked into the problem and the strings are hitting on the 2nd fret bar making it buzz and not ring out. i tried raising the action to no avail. Could these be a problem with the size of my strings? I use Ernie ball skinny tops so the top 3 are skinny while the bottom are heavy for metal (power chords, shredding). I play an EX-50 with EMG81-85 pickups. Can anyone help with this?

Check out the nut. You may need a new one or the old one shimmed. I just bought an axe that will have that done as soon as it gets here.

Buzzing has now expanded onto open E string.. Luckily I have the service contract thing at sam ash that everyone laughed at me for buying.

Sorry, I don't know what your guitar looks like. Do you have a floyd rose locking? Sometimes those things can be hell. ( I know cause I have an Ibanez Edge III Floyd Rose copy bride)

ESP Ex-50. Only maintinence I've had done is installed EMG ZW 81-85 pickups so it's probably not something that someone else has done to the guitar at all. It's either warped or one of the frets is screwing up. I'm taking it to sam ash sometime soon to get it checked out.

Thats what it looks like.
