Guitar Case Newbie Question

I would like to find out what you guys think of my situation. So I bought a Little Martin LXME for my daughter a few weeks ago. It comes with a really nice gig bag. However, I ordered a modified SKB-300 hard case (from endemo.com) to store the guitar just to make sure that the kids in the house will have a less chance of damaging the guitar. The case arrived today. It was well made with high quality. However, it is also a very tight fit. I have to take the strap off every time when I put the guitar back because you can't really store anything else besides just the guitar. By the way, the storage place inside is also very small, can't even hold the strap!!! So I am thinking about returning the case... My questions to you guys are:
1) Is there any place that sells a hard shell case that fits a Little Martin LXME guitar (3/4 size), but with space?
2) Is it common for a case to be tight fit?
3) How can I convice my daughter not to use the strap? She thinks that the strap is part of the guitar

I guess I could cram a strap in a couple of my cases but, most not. The better quality the case, the tighter the fit. The whole idea is that the guitar will not rattle around in the case. My most expensive case is about 125 bucks or so and it fits the curves of my axe like a glove.

hmm... ok, you make me feel better now :-) I guess that I am really a newbie, haha. So, is there any strap out there that is very thin and flexible?

Hmm...Your daughter is an obsessor lol. Does your case have any compartments at all? The case I have is an Ibanez case and it fits my RG like it's made to fit (it is). And it's got a secret compartment where I can stash my picks, tuners, capos etc.

Yesterday was history, tommrow is a mystery, today is a gift. I'm moving on and starting over. There are things that have been done and past. You cannot change what's done but you can change what has not been. I will fall down and I'll pick myself back up again.

The lining should compress a little very soon and things loosen a bit. You'll forget you ever doubted the purchase.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
