I can't find fingerpicks

...Do they even exist? I've seen thumbpicks, but never
anything sold as a set of fingerpicks. Is there a difference?
I think the thumbpicks are usually metal. I would like to study
that Ragtime Pickin' lesson, but Kirk says I should use
fingerpicks to get that authentic ragtime sound.

Anybody know where to get them online? Or even just the
name of a good brand. I don't want to wait for my fingernails
to grow. Takes forever.

Hehe. While we're at it. Looking for a capo, too.

Here are some, I personaly do not recommend using fingerpicks as they are a completely different feel than using your fingers. I think you are better off just using your bare fingers and maybe a thumb pick but that is just me.

Yes they do exist, here are a couple of links where you can buy them online.

These look like they could be ok. Interesting design as in the pick slides on over the finger, but the picking edge fits underneath the fingernail. First I've seen like that... the customer rating looks pretty good too. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/...se_pid/110630/

Another type made by National - the customer rating is pretty bad. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/...se_pid/116500/

Capos you'll be able to find anywhere. Kirk uses a Shubb capo I think... Maybe somebody else has some recommendations for capos.

Cheers

Clancy

You should be able to find finger picks at almost any guitar store. They come in metal or plastic. I tried them for a couple of months, but just missed the feel of the strings too much.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
