Encouraged... So Another One :)

As the last posting seems to have gone down rather well I thought I'd post another one, recorded in the last hour...

Some background: I'm currently doing a little development with solos. Working in G Maj, with only major scale notes and only on the 1st 2 strings -- restricting the options means you have to really work the notes you DO have

I ran a backing track I've collected from somewhere on the net ( slightly annoying -- seems the Guns'n'Roses version of 'Knockin' on Heaven's Door' is the only one people have done backing tracks for -- G - D - C only, rather than G - D - Am - G - D - C... but it's close enough )... and some simple vamping with "5th" doublets (chords)... and then the solo track.

Again, I'd appreciate your thoughts, folks... Fanx!

Cheapo Squier Affinity Stratocaster through a bit of reverb and such in a V-Amp 2 and into my PC. A bit of a hack arrangement but I get by for now

Hi ozboomer. That's really nice! With your permission (and I guess without it too ) I'm going to use this as a basis for experimenting with my own new el cheapo Sammick.

Seriously though, if you don't want me to, I won't.

Oh heck... Notoriety

Naaah,... go for your life... I'm just pleased you think it's Ok... and! that you're able to make use of it...

Even better, have a look at the original location of the backing track...

That's a great link ozboomer, thanks. I hope you don't mind me asking, but where is Blackburn? I've never heard of it - now that you've put it on the map, its become an international landmark!

Heh... a "bushy" suburb about 10km east of the city.. amongst maybe half-a-dozen guitar shops ...and only a few km from the (in)famous Eastlink project (oh brother - more headaches for me and the people at work when THAT opens properly at the end of the month... )
