Right hand control

Trying to gain more control with the ol right hand, tried mixing/switching a "little..very little" Strumming, picking, and palm muting without losing the rhythm, Harder than I thought.
Any advice/tips or critiques?

Cool rythm! Reminds me of the band Everclear style wise. Im working on similr things for the right hand with palm mutes, picking with fingers and pick and alternate picking.

It's getting there but its slow going lol. Good stuff man, sounds like you're practice is paying off.

Thanks everyone, your comments are the inspiration that fuels my desire to keep trying to better myself. You all have been here or are here in this place where I'm at. That place where at times you can be unsure if your progressing or not, and its the encouraging words from you all that assures me that I am...Thank -you

This is something i also need to work at. Like your example
(which you played very well) i can manage something i keep
simple. As soon as i try to apply it to a cover song my timing
gets messed up, where if i keep it at just a strum pattern, i'm ok.

I think the key is to just get real good at hitting strings where and
when you need too, then break out the old metronome

practice, practice

Sounds good to me also! The tempo and rhythm are right on and the techniques are executed cleanly. Good job!

Just keep doin' what you're doin'. Playing with a metronome (or a drum beat) is the best way to learn. Also just some general practice advice to keep in mind is that you don't want to just practice practice practice, because practice makes PERMANENT (not perfect ). Keep the tempo slow enough so that you can play it perfectly without mistakes. Then as you get more comfortable (and not just playing it correctly one or two times, you have to be very comfortable with it), speed it up until you can play it cleanly at faster tempos. If you practice sloppy you will only ingrain the bad habits and make it harder to undo later. It's best to start out practicing it correctly from the start.
