You Know You're Right

This is a song me and my teacher are working on. It took us almost an hour for me to learn the main riff in the verses. It looked so simple on the tab but I couldn't get it until someone was there to show me how to play it. I think I might be playing it too fast, as in faster than the actual song. Feedback would be appreciated. I want to nail this song so I can wow my teacher next week.

Sorry it's kind of dull but the main guitar is playing pretty much playing the same riff for the whole song.

The timing in the first part seems a little off.

Hi Peptic girl. Want me to help you with another backing track?

I think you are using tons of distortion. You need to accent some notes when you use that device.

I re-did the main riff. Hope the timing on this try is better.

Thanks for your comments. And GT, hold off on the backing track for now. I wanna get further into learning this song first.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
