My first (improvisation) recording(s)

Well, not sure if I'm allowed in this area. Never posted an audio here before. Anyway, I don't have a studio, only a 2 dollar worth microphone on my computer... but, it serves a purpose.

Anyway, I was struggling with chord tone improvisation last few days, so I decided to post some of it. It's a prepared audio, maybe I added something here and there. I've got no back, just me playing... I'm a newbie, and I'd like to know how it sounds. Both are pretty short:

In the first track I use only 1 chord (Dm9) on 2 positions on the neck.

Second track includes D7 for the intro and G9 later.

You can hear my sliding louder than the actual music, but hey, that's the best I got. Please be honest and say what you mean.

Thanks everyone!

Improv2.mp3

P.S. I had to edit, forgot to attach the files... Silly me.

Hello Felix, Sounds very nice - well played.
I had to turn it up quite high to hear your tune, maybe you could turn up the recording levels next time?

Felix,
Nice job, sweet sound. Eddie's right (as usual) needs to be longer.

Keep it up. It sounded very nice. You can always record your short pieces in Audacity and paste them together to make a longer piece. Select the whole track and use the "normalize" function to bring the volume level up to better level.

I just got around to this one, Felix. Good job on both of them! Can't wait to hear more than just a "tease".

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
