Howdy

I was listening to featured members radio and heard, "Gad, Dad!" performed by RockerBob (kudos man )

I was wondering if this could be taught? Unless its already out there, which if it is I endeavour to find

Cheers
Chappo

That's one of mine. It's played in DADGAD tuning, and I couldn't come up with a better title, hence, Gad, Dad! I just kind of started fooling around in DADGAD until I found some thing I liked. I don't read TAB very well and I sure don't write it, but I could perhaps show someone how I play it. Like most things I play, once you know what's going on, it's not all that complicated.

I just read your introduction post and discovered you are a true beginner. Great! Welcome to the club! My little tune "Gad Dad!" is certainly not something for beginners. First, it uses a non-standard tuning on the guitar. Instead of the normal EADGBE, the strings are tuned DADGAD. Also, there are a number of techniques I use in the tune that usually take a while to get comfortable with.

So, yes, it can be taught, but it would require a very good handle on the basics first.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
