AT that is one nice BT, I can't wait to try it tonight. Thanks. Not sure why it is important to play the last Cmaj7 as barre, but will find out I am sure when I attempt to play. Thanks again.

Just play the top string of the run AMaj7-CMaj7-DMaj7. Hear how it gives a little melody run. You can also hear that the barre CMaj7 is brighter than the darker sounding CMaj7 with the open strings.
I was also using the Barred CMaj7 to make a smoother transition from the AMaj7 to the DMaj7. The open CMaj7 to DMaj7 was too big a jump to my ear.

Yeah, right after posting I went to JamLab and set up the chord progression and saw that the barre gives the CMaj7 a much different flavor.
Thanks again for all of the work that went into this lesson.

I forgot to mention that the barred CMaj7 early in the piece ties the descending chords from the EMaj7 down to the CMaj7 to the FMaj7 turn around too.
Everything was planned to help it flow from one chord to the other. Well, all except that jump from the AMaj7 to the EMaj7. You really have to burn that in to make a timely transition.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
