I agree tg....Kirk continous to amaze me.
Have you tried his drop D version with capo on the second fret? Its on his "Pluck a Lorange" CD along with a ton of other cool stuff.
I like this new version better as the melody line is a bit more defined but the other version is great fun to sing to.

Thanks guys ... glad you're liking it. I'll get the bridge asap and then you'll have the whole tune.

Kirk,
This is my favourite song of all time. I bought the other version you done but this one's that more reachable for me to learn.
My goal is to play it AND sing it. Long, long way to go yet.
Thanks for this fantastic lesson.
Sleepy.

Most definately, Kirk!

I'm also the author of
PlaneTalk - The Truly Totally Different Guitar Instruction Book. The
lesson that this book, slide-rule and DVD teach is the
most powerful of all: the 'trick' to seeing the entire fretboard as
friendly, familiar territory. If you're beyond the beginner stage -- you
know your chords, scales, maybe even modes -- but you're still wondering how
to turn it all into music, how to invent and improvise, how to access all the bits and pieces, then this is the
book for you. You will also be able to join the private PlaneTalkers'
Forum and discuss the simple visualization technique with me and many
others. - Read more here . |
Testimonials
Dear Kirk,
I have been playing off and on for 30+ years and have bought countless method books and tapes.I feel that your book + video(must have both!) are the best and easiest to understand that I have ever seen.I am now beginning to understand and apply concepts I never truly understood before.I wish this were available when I was younger and had more time to practice. Thanks a million!
