hiya Kirk,
on blackwood stroll you say you palm mute the base line. i've tried that the best i can but doesnt sound the same. do you actually pull the base e string at any time because thats the only way i can get it to sound like the way you get it?

Hi jomac.

Yes, I just had a bit of a Stroll and I do a lot of muting down on those bass strings. I'd never really realized how much activity goes on down there until I just checked. I'm sort of regulating the ring on the bass strings with the blade of my hand and I do get underneath the string with my picking thumb and give it a good twang where the dynamics demand.
