  Forbidden games

Hello, Kirk

Thanks for taking the time to finish the lesson. Now I can fit in the missing parts in my own tempo.

Best regards

Jan C.

Ye Kirk this lesson was particulary awesome IMO. I had that song on a CD for a while and thought it was beautifull. Strange thing is it's called "Romance" on the CD.

I also know it as Romanza which is Italian or Spanish for Romance.
Where does the name "Forbidden Games" come from, was this tune used in a movie of that name?

Yes, I think it was in a movie called 'Jeux Interdits', which means forbidden games in French.

Oh ok, that makes sense. So is the actual title romance or forbidden games I wonder?

Hi Kirk,

I just joined your site, great stuff! I love the movies, where I can watch you play and listen at the same time. Super!
I want to play JEUX INTERDITS part I and II, but I cannot find the music notation for part I. (I play classical music -piano and guitar- and I cannot read tabs!) Is the version of Part I available in music notation by chance?

Welcome 4guitars,

I only started including notation recently, but give me a while ... I'll open GuitarPro and do it for you. Can't do it right now, but soon.

Hello, Pachuco. This theme is best played on a guitar with nylon strings. Metal strings don't sound the right way and soft metal strings won't do at all.
