All I have to do is dream sound question.

Hey guys been practicing this song for a little while and I have to say that I'm getting pretty good at it, there is one problem that's bugging me though. When I play it I just can't get it to sound exactly like the way Kirk plays it, I sent him a msg but he hasn't replied, which brings me to the question, is he using strings that are different somehow, I realise that this might be a daft question but please bear with me I still have alot to learn.

Oh yeah and my guitar is tuned properly so I know it's not a tuning problem.

I think Kirk is playing that on a nylon string classical guitar. The other thing which is almost a cliche is that tone is in the fingers. Kirk has been playing a lot of years so he has developed a killer tone. Part of it may also be that he damps unused strings at all times so so he gets a very clean sound.

Hi MS ... yes, I play my nylon string Gibson in that lesson. I'm not actually muting anything in this track, allthumbs, as I do want other strings to ring out in this. I guess the fact that I'v been playing for 46 years comes into it, MS ... just keep playing and refining every thing!
