I agree, it's a really nice arrangement.

Beginners shouldn't be scared by all the 16th notes and the hammer-ons and pull-offs; it's a good one to just strum along to and pick up the bits and pieces as you can.

I heard that song for the very first time this year. It was playing on XM Radio, and I remember thinking, "wow, that guy's got great tone!" I walked over to the XM unit to see who it was and get the song title. Hendrix, of course. Funny I'd never heard it before.

Thanks Kirk. I never realised what a simple chord progression this really is. Been so hung-up trying to emulate Jimi's comping from his original version of Little Wing, didn't think of just trying to do my own melody around that progression.

i really struggled with the fingerpattern and timing at first, but i can play it all up to speed now. its amazing how you get nowhere fast with these things then it just comes to you. its a great lesson and just the style of music i want to study on guitar. thanks kirk
